The 29th Annual Convention
..."Enhancing Health, Education and Youth Development"

The Youth of Atlanta will be throwing a "Welcome to Atlanta" party on Convetion Thursday, August 17, 2017! The party is their way of welcoming everyone to Atlanta for the weekend. You are therefore encouraged to not just come for the weekend but to come for the entire week. This will allow you to take advantage of not only the convention but all the attractions that Atlanta has to offer.

Come for the dancing, come for the food, come for the networking. It will be the party to officially kick off the convention!

We, the indigenes of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria in Diaspora under the umbrella of Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA, Inc. met in the historic town of King of Prussia, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Valley Forge Casino Resort and Convention Center, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406 for our 29th annual convention.

Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria USA Inc., is a non-partisan, non-profit 501c (3) socio-cultural national organization, with 38 active chapters throughout the continental United States. The Association was founded in 1967 by the indigenes of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria resident in the USA to address the social, economic, educational and cultural needs and challenges of their community as well as create opportunities to give back to the society.

Cancellations/Changes and Refunds:
Fees for missed meals, late arrivals, and early departures will not be refunded. Fees will be refunded, less a $20.00 processing fee, if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing no later than August 1, 2016. After that date, fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the convention.

Payment Method:
Check or Money Order must be in U.S. funds payable to AKISAN, National Secretariat. Write on the memo line, "2016 Convention Registration" and mail to the address below. There will be a $35.00 fee charged on checks returned by the bank due to insufficient funds. Registration confirmation/receipt and further information will be sent to your email address if you provide one. Please use online registration at, if paying by credit card or debit card. Thank you.
